Dr. Mirela Imširović holds a PhD in International Relations obtained in China. She has received several international scholarships and research grants, including awards from the Chinese government, UNESCO/China Great Wall Programme, Erasmus+, and the Austrian Ministry of Education and OeAD. She currently works as an assistant professor and is an active member of European research networks (GLITSS, ENIS, FOGOS). She has served as a consultant for the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on projects related to education for democracy and intercultural dialogue. She currently serves as Communication Coordinator of the COST Action “Globalization, Illicit Trade, Sustainability and Security (GLITSS).” She is a member of the Institute for Geopolitics, Economy and Security.
The truth is that the outcome of the war in Ukraine, in a certain variant, may influence the situation in Southeast Europe if that is indeed the strategic goal of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. However, in all variants Dodik would more likely be used and pay the political price, than achieve any benefit for the wider community which he claims to represent.
